This week, Savannah Flament, Matson Logistics’ Director of Rail Pricing, is joining a distinguished panel of industry experts at the JOC Inland24 Conference in Chicago. As part of the session “Intermodal III: Domestic Intermodal Pricing,” Savannah will discuss the evolving intermodal pricing landscape alongside industry leaders, providing key insights on trends affecting shippers and logistics providers.
This panel will explore critical issues such as the pricing outlook for 2025, the competitive balance between intermodal rail and over-the-road trucking, and the impact of recent rate changes on shipping volume. Panelists will also examine whether asset-owning intermodal providers are maintaining a competitive edge over non-asset brokers.
“With a dynamic market, it’s essential to examine how pricing decisions will shape the logistics landscape in 2025,” said Flament. “At Matson Logistics, we’re committed to helping our customers navigate any changes in the market.”
Savannah Flament joined Matson Logistics in 2018 and has quickly become a leader in the intermodal space. With a background in pricing, procurement, finance, and equipment management, she now oversees domestic intermodal pricing for various equipment types, including Matson Logistics' fleet of privately-owned 53' containers and Matson’s ISO container repositioning program.
The panel discussion will take place at 3:50 p.m. CST on October 1, 2024. Attendees can expect valuable insights into pricing trends, including how recent reductions may shift the balance of power in the 2025 contract bidding season.
